While you're here at Veterans Reservoir, you could also stop at lovely Johnson Lake, and close by you hit upon Happy Valley which is a nice place to visit. All through the summertime here at Veterans Reservoir, high temperatures generally get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into       the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 30's for Veterans Reservoir. City of Portland Reservoir Number 1 is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and naturally Veterans Creek is a gorgeous stream that is worth checking out. This lake is so wonderful. If you're visiting Veterans Reservoir from Portland-Vancouver-Beaverton, you won't be the only one; you can run the rapids of Clackamas River. Veterans                  Reservoir sees pretty high levels of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is December while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! Veterans Reservoir rocks! If you need a place to stay Days Inn Portland South is a great choice, and camping is available at Town and Country Mobile Estates. This lake is so wonderful. A great location for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Veterans Reservoir is Molalla River; at Veterans Reservoir you can make out Kelly Butte.
