Just can't get enough of the Central Cascade Range. A great close by hotel is Best Western Sunnyside Inn. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Lake Pidgeon, and if you came for an overnight stay Tall Firs Mobile Home and RV Park is a nice place to camp. Through the long summer days here at Van Zyl Reservoir, high temperatures regularly reach the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer       temperatures plunge down into the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's while Van Zyl Reservoir nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 30's. Get your heart beating on the brilliant whitewater of Clear Creek, and naturally Clear Creek is a delightful stream that is worth stopping at. And that's not all the things to do here in the Central Cascade Range. If you need a location to stay Days Inn is a nice choice, and there's whitewater                  on Clackamas River for all you adrenaline kick people. This lake is so wonderful. Van Zyl Reservoir is a place with many visitors from Portland-Vancouver-Beaverton; why not camp at Mobile Estates if you're here at Van Zyl Reservoir. The Central Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. A lot of precipitation falls at Van Zyl Reservoir; the month with most of the rain is December; the driest month of the year is July. And if that's not sufficient, there's a heap more to do close to Van Zyl Reservoir.
