Van Loo Reservoir is located in the Coast Ranges. So much enjoyable stuff to do here in the Coast Ranges, too great to be true. There's whitewater on Nehalem River for all you adrenaline kick people, and as expected Gales Creek is a pretty stream that is worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. A great close by hotel is Econo Lodge Hillsboro, and lakes are such peaceful       places, why not explore Council Reservoir. High temperatures at Van Loo Reservoir throughout the summer are in the 80's while nighttime lows are frequently in the 50's. Through the winter the highs are frequently in the 40's; night lows at Van Loo Reservoir through the wintertime regularly drop into the 30's.
