Oregon has many beautiful lakes and Van Loo Reservoir is one of them. The high level of rain makes Van Loo Reservoir a rather wet place; throughout December this area sees the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. And that's not all you can do here at Van Loo Reservoir. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Rock Creek, and if you came to camp Horning's Fishing & Picnic is a pleasant place to do that. | | 80's at Van Loo Reservoir. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's, and night lows through the winter for Van Loo Reservoir tend to be in the 30's.
Just can't get enough of the Coast Ranges. Gales Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth stopping at, and if you need a site to stay Econo Lodge Hillsboro is a magnificent choice. This lake is one of the great places here in the Coast Ranges. | |

Float down the rapids of Nehalem River in a kayak; while you're here, you could also take a look at gorgeous Council Reservoir.
And if that's not sufficient there's heaps more entertaining stuff to do in the Coast Ranges. This
lake is so wonderful. Graham Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could explore, and camping at Washington County Fair Grounds is always a nice experience. After a long day outdoors Best Western University Inn is a good site to spend a night or two, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Sunset Grove Golf Course.
