This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Siletz River offers some splendid whitewater, and O'dysius Hotel is a perfect site to get some rest. This lake is one of the great places here in the Coast Ranges. You definitely should go for the Coast Ranges. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Mill Creek. Not far from Valsetz Lake, you'll come       across Hamar Lake which is a beautiful lake; Chandler Mountain is clearly visible from Valsetz Lake. Valsetz Lake is a wet spot that gets a large amount of rain; December is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is July. These mountains rock, just look at all the enjoyable things to do in the Coast Ranges. Wandering Spirit RV Park is a pleasant campground nearby, and Valsetz Lake Dam is a beautiful site, without doubt worth visiting.                  That right there is loads already, but it continues; Valsetz Lake has it all. A spree to Chandler Pass is always fun, and swing by Beaver Creek it's a wonderful site to explore. Lakes are tremendous; Moser Pond is a lake that's right next door to Valsetz Lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Fir Ridge Camp Grounds is a nice place to camp. Summertime highs at Valsetz Lake mostly tend to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's.
