Valen Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Valen Lake generally gets lots of precipitation; most of the rain falls during December while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things in the vicinity of Valen Lake. On a good day at Valen Lake you can take a hike along the Chetco Peak Trail. So much exciting stuff in the Coast Ranges, just remarkable. A pleasant place for whitewater

While you're here at Valen Lake you can take a hike along the Upper Chetco Trail, and a fine nearby hotel is Best Western Beachfront Inn. Valen Lake is a beautiful lake in the Coast Ranges. Smith River - North Fork is a perfect whitewater spot in close proximity to Valen Lake; why not camp at Alfred A. Loeb
since you're here at Valen Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There is a pleasant hiking trail close to Valen Lake called the Illinois River Trail, and Dry Butte can be seen from Valen Lake.
