This lake is so wonderful. Dry Butte can be distinguished from Valen Lake, and Smith River - North Fork has a good whitewater paddling spot close by. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool stuff the area near Valen Lake has to offer. If you came to camp Meadow Creek Campground is a wonderful site to do that, and a lake close by is Salamander Lake. For the duration of       the summertime months at Valen Lake temperatures are usually in the 70's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 50's. All through the wintertime highs are generally in the 50's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Valen Lake temperatures drop to the 30's. Valen Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; during December this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is July.
