I believe it's on the Libby Road in the NW corner of sec. 9, T 26S R13W. Have you ever seen it? Frank (local historian). Ken Johnson Jr.: I work for the Coos Bay-North Bend water board and have the unique pleasure to view the Upper Pony Creek Dam, The Reservoir and the surrounding watershed when work there is required. The area is quiet as it is a restricted area and the resident Elk herd is often seen along with a deer or two once and a while. When the weather is nice the lake is a beautiful blue. The trees are in a scheduled harvest cycle and replaced when cut so there is stands of huge trees alongside smaller sized tree patches. all in all it is a pleasure to get to ''work'' in such a beautiful environment and to have the distinct opportunity to live in the area I do. It is possible to view this magnificant area when tours are made available through the Water Board. Upper Pony Creek Reservoir is not the only place nearby, Lake Merritt is a nearby lake, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Coos Country Club. So many fun things in the Coast Ranges, just impressive. You can make out Radar Hill from Upper Pony Creek Reservoir;       Arbe's RV Park is a perfect campground nearby. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn North Bend, and you'll perhaps meet some folks from Coos Bay here. Be careful coming to Upper Pony Creek Reservoir, you might not ever want to go back home again. This lake is so wonderful. On a delightful day it's a brilliant idea to spend the day at Bastendorff Beach, and there's some flowing water close by, Chickses Creek is a stream you can visit while you're here.                  And that's not all there is to do here in the Coast Ranges.
