I work for the Coos Bay-North Bend water board and have the unique pleasure to view the Upper Pony Creek Dam, The Reservoir and the surrounding watershed when work there is required. The area is quiet as it is a restricted area and the resident Elk herd is often seen along with a deer or two once and a while. When the weather is nice the lake is a beautiful blue. The trees are in a scheduled harvest cycle and replaced when cut so there is stands of huge trees alongside smaller sized tree patches. all in all it is a pleasure to get to ''work'' in such a beautiful environment and to have the distinct opportunity to live in the area I do. It is possible to view this magnificant area when tours are made available through the Water Board.

It's always fun to stop by Upper Pony Creek Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Millicoma River - West Fork offers some tremendous whitewater; playing golf is lots of fun at Coos Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. Libby Arm is pretty close to Upper Pony Creek Reservoir; Empire Lakes is a glorious lake close by. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Upper Pony Creek Reservoir is right next door to Upper Pony Creek Dam which is a lovely spot absolutely worth checking out; a nice beach nearby is North Beach. Upper Pony Creek Reservoir is near Blossom Gulch which is definitely worth checking out, and a day at Bastendorff Beach is time well spent.

more fun stuff to do here at Upper Pony Creek Reservoir. Kelley's RV Park is a splendid campground nearby, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn North Bend is a wonderful place to spend a night or two. A large amount of precipitation
falls at Upper Pony Creek Reservoir; during December this area sees the most rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. Having a wonderful time in the Coast Ranges is uncomplicated. Lakes? Sure, Lake Merritt is in the neighborhood,
and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Holiday Motel.
High temperatures at Upper Pony Creek Reservoir throughout the warmest time of the year are in the 60's. Summer night lows descend down to the 50's. All through the wintertime
this place gets highs in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Upper Pony Creek Reservoir. The Coast Ranges scenery is always beautiful. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors entertaining things the Coast
Ranges has to offer. Chickses Creek is near Upper Pony Creek Reservoir and is always a pleasure to visit, and if you came for an overnight stay Arbe's RV Park is a perfect location to camp.
