     Oregon has many beautiful lakes and Twin Lakes is one of them. Yeah, come up here to the Central Cascade Range for a wonderful time. There are tremendous spots to look at along the Umbrella Falls Trail, and the friendly folks of Hood River like to hang out nearby. Be careful coming to the Central Cascade Range, you might not ever wanna go back home again. This lake is so wonderful. White River has a great whitewater paddling spot close by, and Whispering  
   Woods (Vri) is a delightful spot to get some rest.
Having a nice time at Twin Lakes is trouble-free. Good hiking is available along the Gnarl Ridge Trail, and at Twin Lakes you can observe Barlow Butte. This lake is so wonderful. Some nearby water includes Palmateer Creek; Timberline Lodge is a glorious local ski area. Don't leave Twin Lakes without first going for a hike along the Bonney Meadows Trail, and whitewater paddling is good on Hood River - Lake
 
               Branch.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Cascade Range. If you need a place to stay Mount Hood Inn is a nice choice, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Mt. Hood Meadows is pretty near. All the outdoors cool things in the Central Cascade Range will keep you coming back over and over. If you came for an overnight stay White River Park Campground is a good site to camp, and you could always look at Blue Box Pass.
So many exciting things right next door to Twin Lakes, completely extraordinary. Frog Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at, and Devils Half Acre Meadow is a pretty location any time of year. Through the warmest time of the year here at Twin Lakes, high temperatures commonly get into the 70's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 30's for Twin Lakes. Twin Lakes commonly gets much rainfall; the wettest month of the year is commonly December, that's the one that rains the most while July is ordinarily the driest month.
Why not camp at Lower Twin Campground since you're here at Twin Lakes; a lake nearby is Green Lake.

Have you been to the Bighorn campground site???While this is a beautiful pack-in, primitive site, it doesn't fit with your description. Before camping, take a hike on Nat. Forest Trail 742, without gear. After you've scoped the area, come back and stay. Even on Labor Day Weekend ('06) there were several campsites available in this dispersed camp area....
