Go to Twin Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. You can never get enough of the great skiing at Spout Springs. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors La Grande Travelodge is a good site to spend a night or two, and if you came for an overnight stay Rendezvous RV Park is a magnificent location to camp. High temperatures at Twin Lake during the long summer days are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime highs

The Blue Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Broken Arrow Lodge while you're here at Twin Lake, and in case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Grande Ronde River. Now, you may imagine that's loads but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Twin Lake. If the weather is delightful here at Twin Lake, you can
go for a hike along the Summit Mount Emily Trail. Lakes are great; Hunter Lake is a lake that's close to Twin Lake. You're perhaps keen on lakes, Morgan Lake is one of those nearby, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go
skiing at Anthony Lakes if you're here. On a glorious day at Twin Lake you can take a hike along the Five Points Trail, also Morgan Lake Dam is worth taking a look at since you're here.
So many amusing things to do here in the
Blue Mountains, too great to be true. Dry warm beds await you at Lagrande Super 8 Motel, and you're sure to encounter some good people from La Grande here. Twin Lake gets very little rain; throughout the month of January you get the most snow around here, and the driest month is July.

We had a blast on this mountain on the Beach Day celebration, the staff was friendly as where the locals. They had the best barbeque, the lift lines where short, and the powder was great....

Backcountry enthusiasts can access 2000 acres of steeps, bowls, and glades via guided snowcat tours. Nordic skiers can enjoy 33km of both classic and skate groomed trails that are surrounded by Eastern Oregon beauty and serenity. The resort?s 21 runs are accessed via a triple chair that reaches 900 vertical feet. A handle tow and magic carpet are located at the base area accommodating all levels of skiers.
Anthony Lakes offers a full service rental shop, Nordic Center, Learning Center, snowmobile trail access, and trailer parking. At the base of towering alpine peaks, the Day Lodge provides snowriders and nonsnowriders with food service, and a warm place to mingle and watch the slopes. The Starbottle Saloon proudly serves the 2006 Great American Beer Festival first place award winner, Tumble Off Pale Ale. Tumble Off is brewed locally at Barely Brown?s Brew Pub, a fun, family friendly pub located in Baker City (35 miles from Ski Anthony Lakes).

Spout Springs

...e Mountains. Spout Springs is the oldest continuous operating ski area in Oregon and is located on a major route through the Blue Mountains. It is very popular area for snowmobiles and year-around residences.
Spout Springs opened in 1927 and was first known as the Blue Mountain Ski Club. Pete and Esther Eyraud were the first owners. Pete was the second President of Pacific Northwest Ski Instructors Association and was instrumental in bringing the first French ski instructors to the northwest ski areas. Its name is derived from the numerous natural springs that are found throughout the region. There are three springs on the resort's property.
Spout Springs has 2 double chair lifts, a 21 KM cross country trail system, night skiing (the entire area is lighted), and one of the states few free tubing hills. In the late 60's, Spout Springs was the Nordic training center for the United States Olympic team and the Norwegian jump team. Spout Springs flies the Olympic Flag for this distinction.
