This lake is so wonderful. This is a popular place for people from Bend, and everyone nearby loves skiing at Mt. Bachelor. A quick tour to South Fork Tumalo Creek next to Tumalo Lake is a great idea; lakes are such peaceful places, why not stop at Tum Lake. Having a glorious time in the Central Cascade Range is trouble-free. Put some time aside to spend at Jack Pine Spring since you're       here at Tumalo Lake, and there's great hiking along the Swampy Lakes Trail. High temperatures at Tumalo Lake during the months of summer are in the 70's with overnight lows in the 40's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Tumalo Lake descend into the 10's. But wait, there's more entertaining stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range. The Three Creek Lake Trail offers hiking at                  its best; Tumalo Lake is a fine location to visit for more than one day, K O A Kampgrounds is a fine location to camp nearby. Just can't get enough of Tumalo Lake. After a long day outdoors Sunriver Resort is a tremendous spot to spend a night or two, and Snowy River RV Park is a brilliant campground nearby. There are other locations here than Tumalo Lake, for example Swampy Lakes, and Deschutes River is a pleasant whitewater spot nearby. All the water falling down from the sky makes Tumalo Lake a wet place; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow, and July is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at The Inn Of The Seventh Mountain, and Tumalo Lake is right by the Edison Ice Cave and Lava Trail.
