There are other places here than Triangle Lake, for example Little Lake, and one of the principal features of the surroundings of Triangle Lake is Little Elk Mountain. A good location for whitewater paddling next to Triangle Lake is Alsea River - South Fork, and Richardson Park is a good local campground. Through the warmest time of the year at Triangle Lake highs are ordinarily       in the 70's. Summer night lows sink down to the 50's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Triangle Lake drop into the 30's. In case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Alsea River - North Fork, and folks from Corvallis love to come here. So many exciting things in the Coast Ranges, just extraordinary. Druggs Creek flows through                  this area, and Fern Ridge Shores is a nice campground nearby. All the water falling down from the sky makes Triangle Lake a wet spot; most of the rain falls during December, and July on the other hand is the driest. This lake is one of the great places here in the Coast Ranges.
