If you like lakes and you're in this part of Oregon you can check out Train Lake. All the water falling down from the sky makes Train Lake a wet site; December is the month that gets the most rain while July is regularly the driest month. Yeah, come up here to the Central Cascade Range for a nice time. Going for a hike on the Duffy Lake Trail is always a splendid adventure, and since you're here, you could also take a look at stunning Twin Lakes. This lake is

| | so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Hoodoo, and Lodge at Suttle Lake is a fine place to get some rest. There is a good hiking trail right next door to Train Lake called the Lava Trail. Be careful coming to Train Lake, you might not ever wanna go home again. Star Recreational Vehicle Park is a great spot to camp nearby; here at Train Lake you can distinguish Maxwell Butte. At Train Lake during the summer highs are in the 70's while overnight lows are commonly in the 50's. For the
duration of the wintertime highs are usually in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Train Lake temperatures plunge to the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Tombstone Prairie Campground is a great local campground, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Maxwell Trail.
