Toms Lake is one of the lakes here in the Central Cascade Range. So much entertaining stuff in the Central Cascade Range, just astonishing. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Toms Lake; Duffy Lake Trail is a magnificent local trail, and you can stay the night at Suttle Lake Resort and Marina. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a       lake visiting mood you can always stop by close by Duffy Lake; Toms Lake is a fine place to visit for more than one day, Tombstone Prairie Campground is a fine place to camp nearby. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Central Cascade Range. Duffy Butte is a peak you can spot from Toms Lake; if you come at the right time of year, Santiam River - North offers some wonderful whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Lava                  Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Marion Creek. If you love the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Toms Lake. Good hiking is available along the Maxwell Trail; Best Western Ponderosa Lodge is a glorious site to get some rest. Much rain falls at Toms Lake; all through the month of December you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is July. If you need a location to stay Lodge at Suttle Lake is a splendid choice, and as expected, this is a pleasant neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Ralphs Lake is a lake in close proximity. All through the months of summer here at Toms Lake, high temperatures generally reach the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 40's.
