Have a good hiking adventure along the Straight Creek Trail, and do take a look at Heart Lake, it's a scenic lake. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Tinhat Pond; through November this area sees the most rain; July is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Best Western Canyonville Inn & Suites is a good spot to spend a night or two; a wonderful place to camp       here at Tinhat Pond is Tiller RV Park. And if you're still looking for more outdoors cool things just keep reading. Hiking along the Brownie Creek Trail is splendid fun, and if you come at the right time of year, Umpqua River - South offers some splendid whitewater. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Southern Cascade Range. At Tinhat Pond you can spot Rondeau Butte, and not far from Tinhat Pond you obtain some delightful water scenery at Joseph                  Reed Dam. This lake is so wonderful. During the warmest time of the year at Tinhat Pond temperatures are commonly in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs throughout the wintertime are commonly in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 30's for Tinhat Pond. So much fun stuff in the Southern Cascade Range, just remarkable. Tinhat Pond is right by the White Rock Trail, and camping at Tiller Ranger District is always a great experience.
