You'll need more than a day to look at everything Thrush Pond has to offer, you can camp at Bridge Of The Gods Motel and RV, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Sandy River. Having a brilliant time in the Central Cascade Range is easy. There's magnificent hiking along the Tanner Cutoff Trail, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Mt. Hood Ski Bowl is pretty near. So much enjoyable stuff in the       vicinity of Thrush Pond, just incredible. Golf can be played at Beacon Rock Golf Course, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Hood River here. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Thrush Pond without first going for a hike along the Tanner Butte Trail; the skiing at Timberline Lodge is delightful. The high level of rainfall makes Thrush Pond a reasonably wet place; all through December this area sees the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture.                  This lake is so wonderful. There are good locations to look at along the Eagle Tanner Trail; Best Western Columbia River Inn is a brilliant place to get some rest. But wait, there's more cool stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range. There's so much to do here at Thrush Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Cascade Locks/Portland KOA is a great place for that; there are some glorious whitewater spots on Zigzag River. Big Cedar Springs is a great local attraction; after a long day outdoors Econo Inn is a brilliant location to spend a night or two. Thrush Pond is a beautiful lake in the Central Cascade Range. The top of Eagle Butte is easily distinguished from Thrush Pond. Summertime at Thrush Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's.
