This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Crabtree Creek is so much fun; dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Albany. A lake nearby is Wilson Lake, and why not camp at Albany Trailer Park while you're here at Thornton Lake. Lots of folks from Corvallis come to Thornton Lake, and camping is available at Linn County Parks & Recreation Department. At Thornton       Lake during the warm months highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 40's with temperatures at Thornton Lake dipping down into the 30's during winter nights. Thornton Lake is not the only place close by, Fourth Lake is a close by lake; why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Golf Club of Oregon. All the water falling down from the sky makes Thornton Lake a wet site;                  of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. What a spot this is for outdoors people.
