It's always good to take a look at Horseshoe Spring, obviously you could also stop by Moon Hill Reservoir if you're here; it's not far at all. Not much precipitation falls here at Thompson Reservoir; May is when you get the most rain here, and July meanwhile is the driest month. A tremendous nearby hotel is Days Inn Burns. Moon Hill can be distinguished from Thompson Reservoir. There's so much to do here at Thompson Reservoir       that you need to camp here for a while, Fish Lake Campground is a good location for that. Thompson Reservoir is located in the Steens Mountains. All through the summertime at Thompson Reservoir temperatures are usually in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Thompson Reservoir plunge into the 10's.
