Thissell Pond is always a pleasure to visit. And that's not all there is to do here in the Coast Ranges. Alsea River - North Fork has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot nearby. Camping is available at Big Elk Campground, and in case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Alsea River. You're probably interested in lakes, Klickitat Lake is one of those close by, and a splendid place to camp here at Thissell Pond is Slide

| | Campground. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Howard Johnson Inn Waldport is a good choice, and the Horse Creek Trail offers hiking at its best. If only every location had this much outdoors enjoyable stuff, what a great earth it would be. Bear Creek is a stunning stream that is worth visiting, and Fall Creek Falls is a nice local attraction.
