Go for a hike on the South Prong Trail, and don't forget to take a delightful little tour to Bay Steer Creek. Thicket Reservoir is located in the Blue Mountains. Do have a look at Ringsmeyer Reservoir in the neighborhood of Thicket Reservoir, it's a striking lake; glorious hiking is available along the Coffeepot Trail. Yeah, come up here to the Blue Mountains for a tremendous time. A perfect close by hotel is Americas Best Value       Inn. Don't leave Thicket Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Black Canyon Trail; do put some time aside to spend at Crowbar Spring if you're here at Thicket Reservoir. If only every place had this much outdoors fun stuff, what a great earth it would be. Thicket Reservoir is great enough to spend more than a day at, Pine Tree Campground is a great local campground, and John Day Fossil Beds National Monument is a tremendous place nearby. Not                  much rainfall falls here at Thicket Reservoir; during November this area sees the most rain, and September on the other hand is the driest. Through the summertime months at Thicket Reservoir temperatures are typically in the 80's, and the overnight is a bit colder of course, typically in the 40's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's; overnight lows through the wintertime for Thicket Reservoir tend to be in the 10's. All the outdoors fun things in the Blue Mountains will keep you coming back repeatedly.
