The warmest time of the year at Tarheel Reservoir comes with high temperatures in the 60's with overnight lows in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Tarheel Reservoir. A perfect site to camp here at Tarheel Reservoir is Sandbar Mobile and RV Park, and after a long day outdoors Comfort Inn North Bend is a good place to spend a night or two. and Bastendorff Beach is a beach close by that you can visit. At Tarheel Creek Dam in the neighborhood of Tarheel Reservoir there are some interesting things to see.
Tarheel Reservoir is a pretty wet place generally with a lot
of rain; December is the wettest month with most rain while July is ordinarily the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. A round of golf at nearby Sunset Bay Golf Course is a great way to kill some time, and since you're here you
must check out Fossil Point. If you're looking for a beach next to Tarheel Reservoir, we recommend North Beach, and don't miss out on a glorious swamp; Joe Ney Slough is right here at Tarheel Reservoir.
