Summertime highs at Tamura Reservoir ordinarily tend to be in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Tamura Reservoir are in the 30's. Camping at Sandy Riverfront RV Resort is always a great experience; Comfort Inn & Suites is a glorious site to get some rest. Lakes? Sure,       Mount Hood College Reservoir is nearby, and if you come at the right time of year, Washougal River offers some good whitewater. This lake is one of the great places here in the Central Cascade Range. What a spot this is for outdoors people. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Gresham Golf Course is close at hand; a good site nearby is Powell Valley. The yearly precipitation here at Tamura Reservoir is about average; through the month of                  December you get the most rain around here; July on the other hand is the driest. But wait, there's more entertaining stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range. There are other sites here than Tamura Reservoir, for example McGill Reservoir, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Little Washougal River. This lake is so wonderful. A good nearby hotel is Holiday Inn GRESHAM, and hey, Beaver Creek is a glorious local stream. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Tamura Reservoir you will meet lots of folks from close by Portland-Vancouver-Beaverton, and a great place to camp here at Tamura Reservoir is Portland Fairview RV Park. Having a glorious time in the Central Cascade Range is painless.
