If the weather is wonderful here at Swan Lake, you can go for a hike along the Salmon Creek Trail. There's so much to do here at Swan Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Shelter Cove Resort is a good location for that. If you want a tremendous time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Swan Lake. Here

| | at Swan Lake you can make out Waldo Mountain, and going for a hike along the Winchester Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Be careful coming to the Central Cascade Range, you might not ever want to return home again. If you come at the right time of year, Christy Creek offers some magnificent whitewater.

is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is July. This lake is so wonderful. Glide down the rapids of McKenzie River - South Fork in a kayak; on a magnificent day you can take a hike along the Cupit Mary
Meadow Trail.
Throughout the summertime months at Swan Lake highs are frequently in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's; night lows at Swan Lake through
the wintertime typically drop into the 20's. Stay the night at Twin Springs Campground; a good close by hotel is Best Western Oakridge Inn. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Willamette Pass since you're here; Waldo Meadows is a gorgeous site any time of year.
