Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! The Olympic Mountains rocks! Visit Abernethy Creek while you're here at Swampy Lake. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Swampy Lake has to offer, you can camp at Marv's RV Park. High temperatures at Swampy Lake through the days of summer are in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. High temperatures during       the winter are normally in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Swampy Lake temperatures sink to the 30's. Elochoman River has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot close by, and Rodeway Inn Longview is a good site to get some rest. So much fun stuff to do at Swampy Lake, so little time. Why not stop at Oak Point also if you're here, and in case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Germany Creek.                  Dry warm beds await you at Longview Travelodge, and Memaloose Rock is another great place to have a look at close by. This lake is so wonderful. Swamps don’t sound that great but Dobbins Slough near Swampy Lake is relatively great, and you can stay the night at Perkins Creek Campground. All the water falling down from the sky makes Swampy Lake a wet place; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month is July. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the Olympic Mountains has to offer.
