There is a great hiking trail close to Swaggerty Reservoir called the Chicago Trail, and Stimpson Gulch is also a brilliant place to explore. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Swaggerty Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Lakewood RV Park, and nearby you stumble on the Alco Trail which is a good hiking trail. | |

Swaggerty Reservoir is located in the Southern Cascade Range. Having a great time in the Southern Cascade Range is easy. Lakes are wonderful; Hoover Pond Number One is a lake that's near Swaggerty Reservoir, and a round of golf
at nearby Stone Ridge Golf Course is a delightful way to kill some time. Drift down the rapids of Big Butte Creek in a kayak, and people from Medford love to come here. So many exciting things near Swaggerty Reservoir, truly fantastic.
This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Nelson Reservoir, and why not take a little visit to Coal Mine Creek if you're here. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors
enjoyable things the Southern Cascade Range has to offer. On a nice day at Swaggerty Reservoir you can take a hike along the Mount Ashland Trail, and after a long day outdoors La Quinta Inn and Suites White City is a brilliant site
to spend a night or two. From a rain point of view Swaggerty Reservoir is a reasonably normal location; during the month of December you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is July.

Ashland offers plenty of adventure for both skiers and riders. The ski area is located about a half an hour drive from the charming town of Ashland, home to the world renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival. At 7,500 feet, Mt. Ashland is the highest point in the Siskiyou mountain range. Its north facing slopes collect an average 300 inches of snowfall annually. The ski area offers 23 trails in addition to chute skiing and boarding in its famous bowl. All trails are easily accessed by 4 chairlifts.
