Summertime highs at Surprise Lake generally tend to be in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's, and overnight lows at Surprise Lake all through the wintertime generally dip into the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. A pretty lake like Skookum Lake in close proximity to Surprise Lake is a pleasant place to stop by; if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Thunder Mountain Trail. Now,

Lake, it's a striking lake. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Central Cascade Range. If you need a site to stay Best Western Sandy Inn is a magnificent choice; hiking along the East Mountain Trail is pleasant fun.
So many fun things to do in the Central Cascade Range, not sufficient time. Skookum Lake Campground is a nice local campground, and don't forget to take a wonderful little journey to Cedar Creek.
