For the duration of the days of summer here at Superior Log Pond, high temperatures commonly reach the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 40's while Superior Log Pond nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Glide down the rapids of Umpqua River - South in a kayak,       naturally you could also explore Hayward Pond if you're here; it's not far at all. Just can't get enough of the Coast Ranges. Cedar Creek is a glorious local stream, and going for a hike on the Coffee Pot Trail is always a great adventure. And that's not all there is to do here in the Coast Ranges. Superior Log Pond is not the only spot nearby, Dollar Log Ponds is a nearby lake, and Grants Pass/Sunny Valley KOA is a perfect local campground. The annual rain here at Superior Log Pond is about average; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is July. This lake is one of the great places here in the Coast Ranges. Any time is a good time at Superior Log Pond if you adore the outdoors.
