Take a side journey to Knight Creek, and don't leave Sunshine Lake without first going for a hike along the Main Creek Trail. Sunshine Lake sits in the shade of the Wallowa Mountains. Lake Basin is a splendid place to check out, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by nearby Moccasin Lake. Sunshine Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Scenic Meadows RV Park is a pleasant local campground, and there are good spots to look at along the Kettle Creek Trail. A perfect spot to camp here at Sunshine Lake is Wallowa Lake State Park, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Rama Inn & Suites. Sunshine Lake is a beautiful lake in the Wallowa Mountains. All through the summer months at Sunshine Lake temperatures are usually in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Sunshine Lake fall into the 10's. There's brilliant hiking along the Copper Creek Trail. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Wallowa Mountains.
