On a brilliant day at Sunset Lake you can take a hike along the Horse Lake Trail, and do visit Horse Lake, it's a wonderful lake. High temperatures at Sunset Lake throughout the warm months are in the 80's. Summer night lows descend down to the 40's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 30's with temperatures at Sunset Lake dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. Sunset Lake frequently gets a good deal       of precipitation; during the month of December you get the most rain around here while July is regularly the driest month. The Central Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. While you're here at Sunset Lake you can take a hike along the Island Meadow Trail, and the skiing at Mt. Bachelor is magnificent. Camping at East Lake Resort and RV Parks is always a perfect experience, and going for a hike along the Horse Mountain Trail will let you absorb the                  natural beauty of this region. Having a good time in the Central Cascade Range is simple. A pretty lake like Colt Lake in the vicinity of Sunset Lake is a glorious spot to stop by, and Red Hill is uncomplicated to spot from Sunset Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Hoodoo is a great local ski area. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun things the Central Cascade Range has to offer. A pleasant spree to Island Meadow is a great way to spend an afternoon, and if you come at the right time of year, Horse Creek offers some splendid whitewater. Any time is a magnificent time at Sunset Lake if you love the outdoors.
