Places like Clatsop Plains are splendid to visit; camping is available at Bud's Campground. A good deal of rainfall falls at Sunset Lake; through the month of December you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is July. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Coast Ranges. Sunset Beach is near Sunset Lake and is a picturesque beach to check out, and a magnificent close by hotel is Gearhart       House. Looking for something in the vicinity of Sunset Lake? Slusher Lake is in the neighborhood, and at Sunset Lake you always meet someone from Astoria. The Coast Ranges scenery is always beautiful. For the period of the summer months at Sunset Lake temperatures are regularly in the 60's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 40's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Sunset                  Lake temperatures dip to the 30's.
