     Oregon has many beautiful lakes and Summit Lake is one of them. Looking for something right next door to Summit Lake? Martin Lake is close at hand; while you're here you can take a hike along the South Loop Cut Off. High temperatures at Summit Lake through the long summer days are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 40's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 30's while Summit Lake overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the  
   20's. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Central Cascade Range. If you need a place to stay Best Western Ponderosa Lodge is a good choice, and you can hit the slopes at Hoodoo close at hand.
This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Little Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and you're perhaps into lakes, Booth Lake is one of those close by. Do set aside some time for Canyon Creek Meadows while
 
               you're here at Summit Lake, and the panorama of Porcupine Peak is delightful. Summit Lake is located in the Central Cascade Range.
This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Marion Creek in the neighborhood of Summit Lake, and don't leave Summit Lake without first paying a visit to Douthit Spring. Summit Lake ordinarily gets a great deal of rainfall; December is the month that gets the most rain while July is commonly the driest month.
You believe that's enough? Just getting warmed up. If you came to camp Suttle Lake Resort and Marina is a glorious place to do that, and hiking along the Round Lake Trail is magnificent fun. So many entertaining things in the Central Cascade Range, just tremendous. Dry warm beds await you at Lodge at Suttle Lake; Summit Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Cold Springs Resort is a pleasant local campground.
