Sparta Butte is uncomplicated to spot from Stoddard Reservoir; great hiking is available along the Kettle Creek Trail. All year is a great time in the Wallowa Mountains if you have a thing about the outdoors. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Stoddard Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Eagle Valley Recreational Vehicle Park, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Holcomb                  Spring. Do stop by Grover Reservoir close to Stoddard Reservoir, it's a delightful lake, and why not stop by nearby Basin Creek since you're here at Stoddard Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Martin Bridge Trail, and you'll locate a beautiful lake called Gover Reservoir. At Stoddard Reservoir all through the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's. Summer night lows descend down to the 40's. Through the wintertime highs are generally in the 30's while Stoddard Reservoir overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful.
