If you are in this part of Oregon make sure to pay a visit to Steppe Reservoir. There's magnificent hiking along the Kerby Peak Trail, and some close by water includes Lathrop Creek. Steppe Reservoir is not the only location nearby, Wee Bonnie Loch Glen Reservoir is a nearby lake. Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! The Siskiyou Mountains is excellent! Steppe Reservoir is not far at all from Grants Pass, and a pleasant close by hotel is Riverside Inn Resort.

| | Steppe Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Siskiyou Mountains. After a long day outdoors Grants Pass Travelodge is a magnificent place to spend a night or two, and pleasant hiking is available along the Coffee Pot Trail. The amount of rainfall that falls at Steppe Reservoir is close to the national average; through November this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is July.

high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's, and nighttime lows through the winter for Steppe Reservoir tend to be in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful.
Bend O' The River is a delightful campground nearby, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Steppe Reservoir; Grayback Trail is a nice local trail. Just can't get enough of Steppe Reservoir. For you golfers we recommend nearby
Red Mountain Golf Course; an exciting thing to stop by in the neighborhood of Steppe Reservoir is Werner Dam.
You just can't picture the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the Siskiyou Mountains has to offer. Oregon Caves National
Monument is a perfect national park, and you can run the rapids of Grave Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Steppe Reservoir is a tremendous place to visit for more than one day, Grants Pass Over-niters is a tremendous place to camp nearby; if you get bored of Steppe Reservoir you could also visit close by Apple Rogue Reservoir.
