Oregon has many beautiful lakes and Steppe Reservoir is one of them. Through the long summer days here at Steppe Reservoir, high temperatures generally get into the 70's with night lows in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Steppe Reservoir temperatures plunge to the 30's. If you came for an overnight stay Bend O' The River is a good spot to camp, and soar down the rapids of Grave Creek in a kayak. You truly have to adore the Siskiyou Mountains. Not far from Steppe Reservoir you acquire some
great water scenery at Werner Dam; do take a hike on the Grayback Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Werner Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could go to, and after a long day outdoors Riverside Inn Resort is a nice place to spend
a night or two.
Steppe Reservoir is right by the Kerby Peak Trail, and Oregon Caves National Monument is one of the destinations that are pleasant to explore close by. If only every place had this much outdoors enjoyable things,
what a great globe it would be. A round of golf at nearby Red Mountain Golf Course is a great way to kill some time, and don't forget to take a great little visit to Lathrop Creek.
