The warmest time of the year at Stanbro Reservoir arrives with high temperatures in the 80's while night lows are commonly in the 40's. Good hiking is available along the Skyline Trail; Dalton Springs is a beautiful place to check out while you're at Stanbro Reservoir. If you need a location to stay Best Western John Day Inn is a good choice. Don't leave Stanbro Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Grouse Spring Trail. There's so much to do here at Stanbro Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Wickiup                  Campground is a great place for that. That right there is loads of amusing stuff already but it goes on, the Blue Mountains has it all. There's good hiking along the Meadow Fork Trail.
