Stagnant Lake gets very little rain; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most snow, and July on the other hand is the driest. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Cascade Range. A brilliant place to camp here at Stagnant Lake is Twin Lake Resort RV Park, and Sunriver Resort is a good place to get some rest. Having a good time at Stagnant Lake is easy. Going for a hike       on the Corral Swamp Trail is always a great adventure, and a great nearby hotel is Best Western Newberry Station. Through the summer months highs here at Stagnant Lake get into the 70's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 40's. Highs through the winter are ordinarily in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Stagnant Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Mt. Bachelor is great, and the summit of Haner Butte can be seen from Stagnant                  Lake. All the outdoors fun stuff in the Central Cascade Range will keep you coming back many times. Near Stagnant Lake you locate the Lucky Lake Trail which is a splendid hiking trail, and Stagnant Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Wampus Campground is a great local campground. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Cascade Range.
