Stagnant Lake is a location that is reasonably dry typically; through December this area sees the most snow, and the driest month is July. You could also visit South Twin Lake while you're here at Stagnant Lake; it's nearby, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Edison Ice Cave and Lava Trail. This spot, the Central Cascade Range, has so much       outdoors fun things. Very beautiful scenery and perfect skiing is what you get at Mt. Bachelor, and Stagnant Lake is not the only location close by, Wickiup Reservoir is a close by lake. On a fine day at Stagnant Lake you can take a hike along the Lucky Lake Trail, and why not camp at Twin Lake Resort RV Park if you're here at Stagnant Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Wampus Campground, and dry warm beds await you at Sunriver Resort.                  If you like the outdoors, you'll love Stagnant Lake. The vista of delightful Haner Butte near Stagnant Lake is great; glide down the rapids of Deschutes River in a kayak. At Stagnant Lake through the summertime highs are in the 70's while overnight lows are mostly in the 40's. Through the wintertime highs are typically in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Stagnant Lake are in the 10's. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Central Cascade Range.
