Staats Reservoir is a wet location that gets lots of rain; December is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month is July. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Wittenberg Inn is a good place to spend a night or two, and if you're stopping by from Salem, you won't be the only one. This lake is so wonderful.       Staats Reservoir is not the only location close by, Croft Reservoir is a close by lake; dry warm beds await you at Salem Travelodge. Camping at Eola Bend Rv Park is always a pleasant experience, and the vista of Grice Hill is stunning. Through the summertime here at Staats Reservoir, high temperatures usually get into the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 40's with winter lows in                  the 30's overnight here at Staats Reservoir.
