Just can't get enough of the Central Cascade Range. What would winter be without some skiing at Hoodoo, and there is a glorious hiking trail nearby called the Twin Meadows Trail. This place, Sportsman Lakes, it completely has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. There are other places here than Sportsman Lakes, for example Firecamp Lakes; Collawash River has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot nearby.       All the water falling down from the sky makes Sportsman Lakes a wet spot; the month with most of the rain is December, and July is the month with the least moisture. Not far from Sportsman Lakes, you'll come across Crown Lake which is a pretty lake; at Sportsman Lakes you can spot Bald Butte. This lake is so wonderful. Trout Lake Campground is a splendid local campground; there are nice places to look at along the Roaring Creek Trail. And if that's not sufficient                  there's lots more entertaining things to do in the Central Cascade Range. Going for a hike on the Rapidan Trail is always a splendid adventure. Summertime at Sportsman Lakes arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 40's with temperatures at Sportsman Lakes dipping down into the 30's through winter nights.
