Spence Reservoir is a lake worth visiting. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Spence Reservoir; the nighttime is a bit cooler of course, generally in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are ordinarily in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Spence Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Spence Reservoir is right by the Five Points Trail,
and one of the major characteristics of the surroundings of Spence Reservoir is Table Mountain. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Spence Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Broken Arrow Lodge, and the beauty of
mother nature reveals herself at Paddy Lots Springs. So much entertaining stuff right next door to Spence Reservoir, absolutely mind-blowing. Why not explore close by Deal Creek while you're here at Spence Reservoir.
The cheerful
people of La Grande like to hang out nearby, and the Summit Mount Emily Trail offers hiking at its best. There's so much to do here at Spence Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Rendezvous RV Park is a tremendous place for that, and why not head up to Anthony Lakes and strap some skis to your feet.

We had a blast on this mountain on the Beach Day celebration, the staff was friendly as where the locals. They had the best barbeque, the lift lines where short, and the powder was great....

Anthony Lakes offers a full service rental shop, Nordic Center, Learning Center, snowmobile trail access, and trailer parking. At the base of towering alpine peaks, the Day Lodge provides snowriders and nonsnowriders with food service, and a warm place to mingle and watch the slopes. Spout Springs

...on a major route through the Blue Mountains. It is very popular area for snowmobiles and year-around residences.
Spout Springs opened in 1927 and was first known as the Blue Mountain Ski Club. Pete and Esther Eyraud were the first owners. Pete was the second President of Pacific Northwest Ski Instructors Association and was instrumental in bringing the first French ski instructors to the northwest ski areas. Its name is derived from the numerous natural springs that are found throughout the region. There are three springs on the resort's property.
Spout Springs has 2 double chair lifts, a 21 KM cross country trail system, night skiing (the entire area is lighted), and one of the states few free tubing hills. In the late 60's, Spout Springs was the Nordic training center for the United States Olympic team and the Norwegian jump team. Spout Springs flies the Olympic Flag for this distinction.
