Some nearby water includes Beaver Creek, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Butte Creek. High temperatures at Spady Reservoir during the summertime are in the 80's while overnight lows are regularly in the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Spady Reservoir temperatures drop to the       30's. If you come at the right time of year, Silver Creek offers some wonderful whitewater. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not stop at Bye Reservoir near Spady Reservoir, and after a long day outdoors Oregon Garden Resort is a delightful spot to spend a night or two. Spady Reservoir regularly gets a large amount of precipitation; December is when you get the most rain here, and July on the other hand is the driest. You'll wish for more hours in a day                  to enjoy all the fun things at Spady Reservoir. Salem RV Park is a pleasant campground nearby, and Auburn Center Golf Club is a golf course close by. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Best Western Black Bear Inn is a splendid choice; folks from Salem love to come here.
