The beauty of Spada Reservoir is reason enough to stop by. The high level of rainfall makes Spada Reservoir a rather wet place; during December this area sees the most rain while July is usually the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. and there's whitewater on Silver Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers. East Champoeg Creek is right next door to Spada Reservoir and is always a diversion to explore, and people from Salem love to come here. There's some
interesting stuff to distinguish at Spada Dam close to Spada Reservoir, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Butte Creek. During the summer here at Spada Reservoir, high temperatures
commonly reach the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and nighttime lows through the winter for Spada Reservoir tend to be in the 30's.

Personally if you're going to a lake in the mountains you should be CAMPING. And there are plenty of sites to do so, both reserved and not. Rustic cabins are available to rent as well as rooms in another historic building known as Centennial Lodge. Centennial is a two story building with old style hotel rooms and shared restrooms on each floor. Jubilee Lodge was built in the late sixties and has a large dining/meeting room, complete kitchen as well as dormitories that are all available to rent.
