Be careful coming to South Coast Log Pond, you might not ever wanna go home again. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can pop by Brookings
Log Pond Dam. You'll meet a lot of people from Crescent City North here, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Brookings Inn is a great place to spend a night or two. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Coast Ranges.
Visiting Redwood National and State Parks is just something you need to do if you haven't yet; some attention-grabbing geology is available here, Rainbow Rock is right here.

by Eiler Creek; Gray Flat is a beautiful place any time of year. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant place to camp here at South Coast Log Pond is Harris Beach State Park, and on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Eagle Creek Trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Coast Ranges.
