Do stop by Smith Reservoir while you're in this part of Oregon. At Smith Reservoir throughout the summertime highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are generally in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Smith Reservoir drop into the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Smith Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Twin Rivers Vacation Park is a delightful location for that; you acquire a perfect view of Irwin Rocks from here. Camp Ground and RV. A lake close by is Wylie Reservoir, and after a long day outdoors Sweet Breeze Inn is a glorious site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. There is a good hiking trail in the neighborhood of Smith Reservoir called the Grayback Trail, and there are some fine whitewater spots on Umpqua River.
