Smith Lake regularly gets a great deal of rain; the month with most of the rain is December, and July on the other hand is the driest. During your stay at Smith Lake do visit close by Sunset Beach; if you need a place to stay Best Western Astoria Inn is a splendid choice. For the period of the months of summer at Smith Lake highs are usually in the 60's with overnight lows in the 40's. The       wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Smith Lake. All our national parks are great sites to take a look at, and Fort Clatsop National Memorial is no exception, and if you're going to from Astoria, you won't be the only one. Smith Lake is one of the lakes here in the Coast Ranges. If only every place had this much outdoors entertaining stuff, what a great globe it would be. A great spot to camp here at                  Smith Lake is Sunset Lake Resort and Park; since you're here and you like golf, you can have a look at Astoria Golf & Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Kampers West Kampground if you're here at Smith Lake, and after a long day outdoors Gearhart by the Sea is a splendid location to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. And if that's not enough there's a load more enjoyable things to do in the Coast Ranges. Some nearby water includes Old Skipanon Creek; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at nearby Beaver Lake. Now, you may feel that's a heap but there's even more amusing stuff to do here in the Coast Ranges.
