Yep, outdoors entertaining stuff truly is bountiful here in the Central Cascade Range. There's so much to do here at Smarts Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Pine Hollow Lakeside Resort is a great place for that; going for a hike on the Tygh Creek Trail is always a pleasant adventure. Smarts Reservoir in fact is in the middle of a wonderful outdoors paradise. What       would winter be without some skiing at Cooper Spur, also Rock Creek Dam is worth taking a look at while you're here. Smarts Reservoir sees pretty high levels of precipitation; throughout the month of December you get the most snow around here, and the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful. Smarts Reservoir is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Dam Campground is a splendid local campground, and charming scenery and great skiing                  is what you acquire at Mt. Hood Meadows. Summertime brings highs in the 60's to Smarts Reservoir while nighttime lows are ordinarily in the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Smarts Reservoir are in the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. You'll stumble on a pretty lake called Rock Creek Reservoir near Smarts Reservoir, and there's whitewater on White River for all you adrenaline people. If you want a good time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Central Cascade Range. You'll meet a lot of people from City of The Dalles here, and let's not forget North Fork Rock Creek which is a stream that you may stumble upon during your stay. There are some magnificent whitewater spots on White River, and there is a perfect hiking trail nearby called the Little Badger Creek Trail. Cousins Country Inn is a glorious site to get some rest. Near Smarts Reservoir you locate the Ball Point Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail; do stop by Cody Ponds, it's a wonderful lake.
