What a nice lake Smarts Reservoir is. Having a good time in the Central Cascade Range is easy. There are delightful places to look at along the Ball Point Trail, and there's whitewater on White River for all you thrill seekers. The Central Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. This is no location for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Go for a hike on the Tygh Creek Trail, and camping at Dam Campground is always a great experience. During the

| | months of summer at Smarts Reservoir temperatures are usually in the 60's, and the overnight is a tad chillier of course, ordinarily in the 40's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Smarts Reservoir sink into the 20's. Meadows is just what you need, and going for a hike on the Little Badger Creek Trail is always a great adventure. But wait, there's more exciting stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range. Do stop by Rock Creek Reservoir near Smarts
Reservoir, it's a wonderful lake, and if you came to camp Pine Hollow Lakeside Resort is a good spot to do that. This lake is so wonderful. There are some nice whitewater spots on White River, and Rock Creek Dam is a lovely location.
Lots of precipitation falls at Smarts Reservoir; December is the wettest month with most snow while July is frequently the driest month. At Smarts Reservoir you always meet someone from City of The Dalles; if you need a location to stay Cousins Country Inn is a good choice.
