Not much rain falls here at Slide Lake; most of the rain falls through November, and the driest month of the year is July. People from Prineville love to come to Slide Lake; a gorgeous lake like Lone Reservoir is a splendid place to pop by. Now, you may imagine that's a load but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here in the Blue Mountains. Ochoco Butte can be made out from Slide Lake, and do set aside some time       for Indian Prairie while you're here at Slide Lake. If you came to camp Canyon Creek Campground is a fine spot to do that; a short visit to Cup Spring is always worthwhile. At Slide Lake during the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 40's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and overnight lows all through the wintertime for Slide Lake tend to be in the 10's. Slide Lake is one of                  the lakes here in the Blue Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit John Day River, and do pop by Ochoco Reservoir, it's a lovely lake. All the outdoors exciting things near Slide Lake will keep you coming back again and again.
