A tremendous close by hotel is La Quinta Inn Suites White City, and lakes are such calm spots, why not take a look at Moore Reservoir. So many entertaining things to do in the Siskiyou Mountains, not enough time. The scenery at Skou Dam near Skou Reservoir is scenic; on a wonderful day you can take a hike along the Red Mountain Trail.

Mt. Ashland

Ashland offers plenty of adventure for both skiers and riders. The ski area is located about a half an hour drive from the charming town of Ashland, home to the world renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival. At 7,500 feet, Mt. Ashland is the highest point in the Siskiyou mountain range. Its north facing slopes collect an average 300 inches of snowfall annually. The ski area offers 23 trails in addition to chute skiing and boarding in its famous bowl. All trails are easily accessed by 4 chairlifts. Twilight skiing on 10 runs is scheduled Thursday through Friday evenings beginning in late-December. The mountain prides itself on a warm and friendly atmosphere.
