It's always fun to stop by Skookum Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are perfect; Castor Lake is a lake that's near Skookum Pond, and get dripping wet paddling on Rogue River - North Fork. This lake is one of the great places here in the Southern Cascade Range. If you're here at Skookum Pond, you could go to Cougar Creek, and you can have a perfect hiking adventure along the Umpqua Rogue Trail.

| | which is a picturesque lake; Skookum Pond is right by the Acker Divide Trail. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Southern Cascade Range. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Skookum Pond has to offer, you can camp at Cliff Lake Campground. Skookum Pond is a wet spot that gets a good deal of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is typically November, that's the one that rains the most while July is generally the driest month.

Any time is a perfect time at Skookum Pond if you adore the outdoors. There's so much to do here at Skookum Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Neal Springs Campground is a great place for that, and hiking along the North
and South Trail is tremendous fun. At Skookum Pond through the summer highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and overnight
lows during the winter for Skookum Pond tend to be in the 30's. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Southern Cascade Range. Crater Lake National Park is a great local destination here at Skookum Pond, and paddling on Jackson Creek is so much fun.
