Don't leave Skipper Lakes without first checking out Silver Rock, and if you came to camp Slim Chance Campground is a fine site to do that. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Copland Creek. There's so much to do here at Skipper Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Camas Creek Campground is a splendid location for that. The Central Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful.       This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Steamboat Creek offers some good whitewater, and do take a hike on the Bradley Trail. Skipper Lakes gets much water; November is the wettest month with most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Summertime highs at Skipper Lakes usually tend to be in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's while the cold winter                  nights at Skipper Lakes are in the 30's. So much amusing stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range, not enough time. Balm Mountain can be observed from Skipper Lakes; why not take a refreshing hike along the Cinder Prairie Way. This site, the Central Cascade Range, has so much outdoors fun things. The Perry Butte Way offers hiking at its best, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Loletta Lakes. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Oakridge Inn, and not far from Skipper Lakes you'll find Lemolo Forebay which is a pretty lake.
