If you are in Crook county it's always a good idea to stop by Shoun Reservoir. Hide Canyon is one of the streams close by that might be worth going to, and a perfect place to go to is Box Canyon. This lake is so wonderful. A short tour to Knox Spring is always worthwhile; Shoun Reservoir is a great location to camp, Canyon Creek Campground is a great location. | | the most rain while July is regularly the driest month. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Prineville Inn. During the summer months at Shoun Reservoir highs are usually in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 40's, and night lows all through the wintertime for Shoun Reservoir tend to be in the 20's. Camping at Shoun Reservoir is tremendous fun, Pine Creek Campground is a tremendous local campground, and at Shoun Reservoir you always meet someone from Prineville.
