    If you like lakes and you're in this part of Oregon you can check out Shockley Reservoir. All year is a perfect time in the Central Cascade Range if you fancy the outdoors. Some nearby water includes Bear Creek, and why not camp at Camp Creek - Mount Hood National Forest since you're here at Shockley Reservoir. Throughout the summertime at Shockley Reservoir temperatures are regularly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's.  
   During the winter highs are in the 40's; after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Shockley Reservoir plunge into the 30's. Camping is available at Armstrong - Mount Hood National Forest, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Bull Run.
Shockley Reservoir is located in the Central Cascade Range. Shockley Reservoir gets a great deal of water; through December this area sees the most rain while
 
               July is typically the driest month. So many enjoyable things to do at Shockley Reservoir, so little time. Holiday Inn Express Gresham-Troutdale, Or is a wonderful place to get some rest, and there is a perfect hiking trail close by called the Old Baldy Trail.
So many entertaining things to do here in the Central Cascade Range, too brilliant to be true. If you come at the right time of year, Eagle Creek offers some perfect whitewater, and if the weather is magnificent, you can go for a hike along the Fanton Plaza Trail. This lake is so wonderful. On a perfect day at Shockley Reservoir you can take a hike along the Eagle Creek Cutoff, and Shockley Reservoir is not the only spot nearby, Isaackson Reservoir is a nearby lake.
This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Kromer Reservoir, and a tremendous nearby hotel is Best Western Sandy Inn.

We found the park to be clean, quiet, friendly,? very well located, and we would definately return! Although there is no pool, or playground equipment, there is a beautiful river for swimming and wading, hiking trails to explore and nature everywhere. A real hidden gem in the Portland area.
