While you're here at Shirley Lake you can take a hike along the Summit Trail; camping at Wizard Falls Campground is always a brilliant experience. Just can't get enough of Shirley Lake. If you get bored of Shirley Lake, you could also stop by close by Junction Lake, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Cabot Lake Trail. A great deal of precipitation falls at Shirley Lake; throughout the month of December       you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is July. Man, is there plenty of enjoyable things to do in the Central Cascade Range. Skiing at Hoodoo is one of those things you just have to do, and do take a hike on the Brush Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Best Western Ponderosa Lodge is a great choice. For the period of the summer months at Shirley Lake highs are ordinarily in the 70's. Summer overnight                  lows plunge down to the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Shirley Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A good place to camp here at Shirley Lake is Cold Springs Resort, and here at Shirley Lake you can spot Forked Butte. This lake is located in the wonderful Central Cascade Range. Get soaked paddling on Marion Creek; Carl Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by. You completely have to have a thing about the Central Cascade Range.
