It's always fun to stop by Shining Lake. For the period of the warm months, highs generally are in the 70's at Shining Lake, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Shining Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Very stunning scenery and great skiing is what you get at Timberline Lodge, and if you're here at Shining Lake it's a good idea to take a look at Squaw Meadow.

If you need a place to stay Whispering Woods (Vri) is a great choice, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Dry Ridge Trail. Shining Lake is a wet site that gets a lot of precipitation; most of the rain falls through December, and July on the other hand is the driest. Old Baldy Trail offers hiking at its best, and Roaring River has a nice whitewater paddling spot close by. Shining Lake Campground is a delightful local campground; Shining Lake is a nice location to visit for more than one day,
Frazier Turnaround Campground is a nice location to camp nearby. Lakes? Sure, Squaw Lakes is in close proximity; what would winter be without some skiing at Mt. Hood Ski Bowl. If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors just
come on up to the Central Cascade Range. Plaza Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth going to; if the weather is delightful, you obtain a great view of Grouse Point from Shining Lake. Hiking is a popular thing
to do around Shining Lake; Roaring River Trail is a fine local trail, and in case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clackamas River - Oak Grove Fork. Shining Lake is a beautiful lake
in the Central Cascade Range. Yeah, come here to Shining Lake for a glorious time. Not far from Shining Lake, you'll come across Serene Lake which is a delightful lake, and dry warm beds await you at Resort at the Mountain.
