If you like lakes and you're in this part of Oregon you can check out Shining Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There's perfect hiking along the Old Baldy Trail. There's so much to do here at Shining Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Frazier Turnaround Campground is a splendid place for that. Now, you may believe that's plenty but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Shining Lake. Head up to Mt. Hood Ski Bowl and strap some skis to your

| | feet, and you're almost certainly into lakes, Serene Lake is one of those close by. Be careful coming to the Central Cascade Range, you might not ever wanna go home again. There's whitewater on Roaring River for all you adrenaline junkies, and Resort at the Mountain is a glorious place to get some rest. The Central Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Whispering Woods (Vri), and hiking is a popular thing to do around Shining Lake; Dry Ridge Trail is a good local trail. Summer at Shining Lake comes with high temperatures in the 70's,
and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's; nighttime lows in the 30's for Shining Lake. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a fine time here at Shining Lake. Whitewater paddling is
not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Clackamas River - Oak Grove Fork. Lakes are splendid; Squaw Lakes is a lake that's near Shining Lake. Yeah, come up here to the Central Cascade Range for a great time. A
splendid place like Squaw Meadow here at Shining Lake is too perfect to miss; glorious hiking is available along the Roaring River Trail. Shining Lake regularly gets a lot of rainfall; December is when you get the most rain here;
the driest month is July. Stay the night at Shining Lake Campground, and a day on the slopes of Timberline Lodge is just what you need.
